Before a full room of Avance students, parents and staff, the charter for Academia Avance was renewed by the Los Angeles County Board of Education on August 17th. The school now continues it mission in Highland Park for 5 more years. The LACOE Board cited the academic achievements of the school as strong motivation for renewal. The Class of 2011 will be the first graduating off to college. By the completion of the new charter in 2015, there will be over 200 college bound Avance-ros with many more right behind them!
